The operation of the textile industry from January to September!

From January to September, the industrial added value of textile enterprises above designated size increased by 6.3% year-on-year, with an average increase of 0.7% over the two years. The output of chemical fiber, yarn, cloth, printing and dyeing cloth, and clothing of enterprises above designated size increased by 13.5%, 12.7%, 10.1%, 21.1%, and 9.3% respectively year-on-year.

From January to September, textile enterprises above designated size achieved operating income of 3672.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.6%, an average increase of 0.8% in two years; realized total profits of 171.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 31.7%. The retail sales of clothing, footwear, and knitting textiles in units above designated size increased by 20.6% year-on-year, an average increase of 2.8% in two years; the national retail sales of clothing products increased by 15.6% year-on-year, and an average increase of 9.3% in two years.

From January to September, textile and clothing exports were 227.6 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 5.6%, of which textile exports were 105.2 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 10.7%; clothing exports were 122.4 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 25.3%.
